Nutrition - Compassion - Efficiency
4. Nutrition:
The #1 diet (Keyword is DIEt) plaguing our world is the Standard American Diet (S.A.D). It is extremely high in processed foods, refined sugars, LDL cholesterol, unhealthy fats, excess sodium, and artificial flavors and colorings. This diet leads to chronic diseases such as obesity, heart disease and diabetes. However, with the rise of health consciousness, people are becoming more aware of the impact their food choices have on their overall well-being. A nutrient dense plant rich lifestyle (or LIVEit) is essential for a healthy lifestyle. It should include a variety of whole foods such as fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, whole grains and healthy fats. These provide an array of important nutrients including vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and fiber that help support our immune system, boost energy levels and promote optimal functioning of our body.
In addition to choosing nutrient-dense foods, it is also important to pay attention to portion sizes. Overeating can lead to weight gain and increase the risk of chronic health conditions. Another key aspect of a healthy lifestyle is staying hydrated. Water (mostly from fresh watery fruit) is essential for many bodily functions, including regulating body temperature, flushing out toxins, and aiding in digestion.
Black people have become disproportionately affected by the health detriments of the S.A.D diet when comsumed in both moderation and excess. With the early demises of personal sickness and losing friends and family at a young age, many black people have grown tired of being in poor health. We are tired of high blood pressure, diabetes, heart failure, cancer. And for damn sure, black men are tired of suffering from erectile dysfunction. Sickness has been passed down in black families for generations. But it doesn't have to be this way.
They say that African Americans are the top demographic of people going vegan. We are getting on the right track, but there are still so many black people who need to be made aware that there is a health revolution taking place in the community. Our mission is to spread the word to every Black Man, Woman, and Child walking the Earth. Not to make them go vegan; you can’t make anybody do anything. But our first and foremost mission is to make sure whoever comes across the Vegan Black Man platform can never say that we were never told that there is a better way.
And if you are reading this, it is imperative that you become the ray of sunlight from eating nutrient dense foods grown from the Earth. You have to be the one to make the change, and be on the right side of these end times. Become the chosen ones in the community, in your family, who dared to be different. Be the one who whos strong-willed enough to break away from the social normalities of self-inflicted sicknesess. You are reading this for a reason; you are the one to lead by example and inspire your love ones around you. Go Vegan, Black man!
5. Compassion:
The Animal species have been subjugated to immense torture and murder for food since the beginning. These heinous acts of dominion are a result of speciesism. As we continue to fight for our own liberation from the chains of racism, let us not forget our fellow beings who are also suffering under the grip of speciesism. We must recognize that their plight is a result of the same oppressive systems that have oppressed us as black men. It's time to break free from the mindset that sees animals as inferior and disposable. Just like how we have been dehumanized and reduced to nothing more than commodities, animals in factory farms and slaughterhouses are seen only as products for profit. This is a clear manifestation of speciesism at its worst.
But why should we care about animal rights when there are so many pressing issues facing our own community? The answer lies in recognizing the interconnectedness of all forms of oppression . Just as we fight against racism and discrimination, we must also fight against speciesism and the exploitation of animals. When we take a stand for animal rights, we are also standing up against the systems of oppression that have kept us down. We are rejecting the idea that some lives are more valuable than others, whether it be based on race or species. By advocating for animal rights, we are promoting equality and justice for all living beings.
As black men, we should have the most compassion as the animals are still in a predicament that we were once in, as speciesism is the father of racism. Black Men are often referred to as animals by the same oppressive powers that have the animals in bondage. Once the ego-driven European felt entitled to dominion over the animals, that led to the same treatment of black people. Like the animals, we were enslaved and tortured, bred as livestock, taken away from our families, and sold off. Now that we at least have the freedom to fight, we must be a voice for the voiceless through our words and actions against the animal holocaust and the horrors in the slaughterhouse.
Furthermore, the mistreatment of animals not only has ethical implications but also environmental ones. Factory farming is a major contributor to climate change and deforestation, both of which disproportionately affect marginalized communities. By supporting sustainable and ethical practices in our food system, we can work towards a healthier planet Earth for all living beings.
Since the end of the civil rights movement, black men have been conditioned by the Babylon system to fight amongst each other and be hesitant to build together. This is doubly true for black men who eat animals. Having disregard for the slaughterhouse and infusing consumed fight or flight adrenal fluids of animals who are constantly in fear by waiting in line watching their loved ones have their throats slit before theirs, going mentally insane and attacking each other because they are so cluttered together and can barely move, desperately trying to escape with no hope of escaping. When we participate in this madness, this keeps the general black community operating at its lowest self.
When more black men remove themselves from apathy and develop compassion for the animals and a desire to end their suffering, better days for us as black men will come by proxy. We would, in return develop a sense of compassion for each other and our plights as black men. And be more willing to trust and work together under a positive cause—something bigger than ourselves and something that will stimulate natural evolution in the black community.
6. Efficiency:
The Earth is a self-cleaning ecosystem that is currently retaliating through pandemics, heavy winds, flooding waters, earthquakes, and fierce fires. There are more weather disasters than ever before, and we are almost at the point of no return. Carbon emissions from factories and buildings, cars, etc, play a role. But the single most significant cause of greenhouse gas emissions is animal agriculture, a factor thats always been avoided by carnists when discussing the world’s fate. The carnivorous appetite for dead animal flesh and byproducts is the root cause of all ecological disasters. From water pollution to species extinction to climate change is a result of our carelessness for the animals, each other, and the planet.
To efficiently spark a black health revolution, the terminology of Veganism and its definition must be broken down in totality. This can only be done from a black man’s perspective. Why? Because as the most ignored and hated yet culturally appropriated group of people in the world, black men are about the closest thing to the mistreated animals, except we have a voice. As you go forth, you will find that there are different subcultures of veganism, each with its erroneous talking points. from white animal rights extremity with undertones of racism towards blacks. Elitist veganism focuses on unnecessary food restriction and expensive marketing of placebos, pricing out the less privileged blacks, playing right into gentrification. However, true veganism is a holistic lifestyle that encompasses not only dietary choices, but also ethical and environmental considerations.
It's important to understand the history and context of veganism. Veganism was originally coined in 1944 by Donald Watson as a way to describe individuals who chose to abstain from consuming any animal products. This strict definition has since evolved and expanded to include not just diet, but also lifestyle choices that align with the belief in ethical treatment of animals. As mentioned above, there are different subcultures within veganism, each with their own perspectives and beliefs. One particularly relevant perspective is that of the black community. Black men have historically been marginalized and oppressed, much like animals in our society. This unique perspective allows for further examination of the intersectionality between race and veganism.
Vegan Black Man calls to make veganism as easy and efficient as possible for anyone to transition. We focus on the psyche of meat eaters and take the addiction to dead animal flesh head-on. Getting black men off the worst foods and byproducts and seamlessly transitioning into veganism is the primary goal. The truth is many black men are slacking with their health. Therefore, it is inefficient to confuse Black Men regarding health. Here, we have a strong emphasis on the fundamentals. Efficiency in VBM means to keep it simple and practical, nutritional, and mentally beneficial for black men
Welcome to Vegan Black Man! The 1st and official health resource, and vegan community network for black men, by black men worldwide! The days of sleeping with a mask, erectile dysfunction, organ failure, sudden death, lost opportunities, and division amongst our melanated brothers are coming to an end. We live in a corrupt Babylon system that is trying to kill us with poisonous food; and replace us with advanced technology. The only way to liberate ourselves is to revolutionize our health and unify in economics and camaraderie and become sovereign without the need to lean on the system for everything.
Vegan Black Man is also in alliance with various thought leaders and movements that are beneficial to the black community, such as the Reparations movement, and restoring black love.
Health and Unity is a must! And it must begin with Black Men coming to this consensus and coming together to do the work. It's now or never!
